Shoot or Pass

Depends on the other bucks on camera, in my home state of Pa, he would NEVER get passed. But in other states that could be a different story…
You know the caliber of bucks on your property you are hunting, and that’s your call. Definitely a mature deer, but if you are chasing a booner and have your heart set on 160+ with a bow this season or another buck , you will have to let him walk…I always told my brother, when you have to question if you should shoot him, you will most likely regret killing him.
Don’t kill a bucks based on what every one else would do, shoot what is going to make you happy in the end.

If we pass on this deer, what’s the better one we’re going after?

Well guys this has been fun for me, just to let everyone know, I would have no trouble shooting this buck or any of the other bucks I posted, these are all mature 5+ year old bucks which are hard to get! I agree that if you are a trophy hunter and you have to ask whether you should shoot or not, then probably should pass! That being said, in the mountains where I am from these bucks are hard to get in the daylight so if given the opportunity at any of these bucks I will take the shot! I was just curious of all other’s opinion, even though my mind was made up before I posted the thread. I tell the guys that hunt with me, including my son, to shoot what makes you happy! I like mature whitetails, so I hold out for the older ones and eat a lot of tag soup lol! God Bless

I beg my brother on the last morning of our hunt to go hunting, it was 70° and raining and he would not go, I asked him to let me take his vehicle and he said no we’re just gonna pack up and go home after I pull my stand and camera in the morning. He pulled his camera got back to PA and checked his pics and this buck walked past his stand and camera the morning I begged him to go hunting… so maybe one like this?

I’d catch a bus if I had to and head right back to that spot to hunt that booger lol!!!!

That was 5 years ago on public, but that’s why you hunt November even if the weather is bad LOL .
What part of PA you hunt? Not specifically just generally what part. Usually bucks that big are only in western PA
