Should I keep my Mission?

This was the first platform I bought a few months back. Love the thing! Its a great transition for me coming from a treestand. However, the more I hunt the more I use ROS and the Perch. I don't want to rush into selling it but I just don't see myself using it at this point. This started when I rode my mountain bike in a few miles. Had to strap the bow to the pack and there wasn't a great way to get the Mission attached as well. I am hunting with my bike more and more often now and have gotten really used to the ROS and I am really liking it. Will I regret it?

Only you can really determine that. I will say that I have hunted with just about every platform on the market. Or at least tried them. I just bought an EDP, and if it doesn’t compare to the mission I will sell it and buy another mission. My two cents is that if you like it, keep it. Because you won’t always ride that bike for every situation. Or you could simply by a different pack.

All good points by @trailblazer75. IMHO, if you see yourself not using it a lot this year or not at all, sell it. Free up the money and try something else. You can always buy one later if you miss it. Might be after the season is over, but that’s the risk you run. But then again, you’ll probably get it at a discount after the season.

I have a limited amount of funds to throw into hunting gear so I keep my stock pile pretty slim. If I can free up some coin to try something new, I typically do it.

I hate stuff sitting around… if I feel it’s not going to get used, adios…. I could think of a couple times that bit me in the butt, but for the most part I’m content with my decisions haha.

I use them both at the same time. It lets me walk around the tree plus I get the room of a platform fot my feet.

I'm debating selling mine now that I have an edp. I only got it today though, so I need to get the EDP up in a tree before I decide if it's going to replace the mission. I'm pretty sure if trophy line would have had the EDP when I bought my mission I wouldn't have gotten the mission, but oh well.

I had the mission as well and really liked it, but it was a bit much to carry. So figured if I was going to carry that I might as well carry a smaller hang on stand. So that was my decision to sell the mission. I bought the EDP before the start of this season and have not looked back yet. If you like the mission but also want the lighter weight and better packability, you won’t be disappointed in the EDP in my opinion.

I use the edp and 3 steps on a separate strap. Wouldn’t hunt without either one. I like to hold on to old stuff usually just in case I want to try it again.

I went platform to ring of steps then back to a platform. I currently use the Mission. I’ll give it a full season before I sell something. If I see it sitting around halfway through the next season with no use then I will dump it.

Might be the one you reach for when you're layered up as season progresses, idk.
