Sight topped out and still missing high

View attachment 31682
See the three(6 in two sets of three really) holes on a diagonal - they move the sight housing up and down relative to mounting holes on riser.

are you maxed out there? Or can you move the sight “up” relative to riser more?

and which set of holes is the sight mounted to the bow through(my other two red circles)? Is it closest to riser, middle, or furthest?

and finally, how many holes do you have on your riser to mount a sight? Just two? Or are there options?

I have two mounting screw holes. I don’t see where mine has a diagonal option. I believe mine is a really older model of what they have.
I have placed it as far away from the rest.

that sounds logical... i would take it back to them though. bow shops can usually do this with less headache than it would cause you. although it sounds like they didnt do a very good job at first. thats why i was asking how far the paper was when he got it to shoot bullet holes.

Red neck fix if mounting the sight higher and/or closer is not an option is to turn limb bolts down to decrease poundage or increase total arrow weight

Assuming you don't have the diagonal holes shown in the picture I posted, you've done all you can do. Sight forward, main adjustment all the way up, micro is all the way up.

If you do have the diagonal holes, and you can move the sight higher relative to the riser, that will bring the POI down.

If not, you may be adjusting rest height and knock point. Just crazy to me that a normal sight, normal bow, and what looks like normal rest height doesn't give you ample room to sight in a 20yd pin.

The more i look at it, the more i think the only recourse is to exchange it for a different model.
Yeah this is probably why they dont make them like this any longer. All the newer models have more diagonal height mounting options.

Well, I didn't want to but it looks like I have no choice. It will be another 45 min trip to the nearest bow shop to work it out. Thanks everyone for the attempts to DIY this thing.

Is the react sight new 2 you also or is it just the drop away?

I remember having a issue like that on my bowtech carbon overdrive with the react sight, everything was in tune and I could go to another sight and it was perfect. I contacted trophy ridge and they said it was a known problem with certain bow models and sent me a bracket that goes on the sight housing. This was in 2016 so all the details are a bit fuzzy but here is a pic of the bow with the bracket installed.

Another thing it could be is if your drop away rest is cable mounted if it is installed improperly it could be causing your cams to be out of time which can make you shoot higher

The shop put the rest on and then I watched him check the timing of the rest and the cams before I went to shoot paper. I would guess that I shot paper at 10 yards.

so weird... looks like trophy ridge screwed up. Ask them for that bracket!

I had a trophy ridge pendulum that ran out of adjustment years ago. It’s really weird that they replaced the rest and that happened. Did they even change the d loop?

I'm on the horn with TR right now and they are familiar with the issue with some of their models. They are looking to see if they have those brackets and if it will still work with my model. Fingers crossed.

No everything was just like I had it before.

Just finished with the TR guy. He is working from home so he could not check the inventory at the shops, but he said he has one in his stack of extra stuff there at his house. He is sending one from his personal supply to me free of charge.

You have to love great customer service! Stuff like that makes me want to buy TR in the future. Also proud to say that they are located in Indiana, so just another bonus.

Big UPs to Cbinderjr for the awesome drop in. Saving me the headaches and stress.

That’s crazy. I would say if nothing else changed but the rest you are either out of tune now or you were before. Either way the sight must have barely worked before. Good luck. Me personally if the bow is tuned well now I would change the sight before messing with the bow. I only use one pin for hunting anyway.

have you shot it through paper since coming back from the shop?
