Yea man! Micro elk. My buddy always says thats the most exciting part. I think its just one more reason maryland is the greatest state in the nation!!

I need to get a couple calls. I think saddle hunting is gonna really make sika hunting at blackwater so much easier. Hiking in that swamp with chest waders and a climber in October...pffff. nope. If you wanna team up for a weekend at blackwater let me know. Me n my pops are definitely gonna hit a spot where i know there's some really nice stags. I tagged a bunch of trails I found on OnX. You're more than welcome to join us. I just wanna see somebody drag one back to the trucks!!
 
Need to get another cell cam and put it out there soon. Its a good drive from me so every little bit helps as far as scouting opportunities.
 
Got 2 Thermacels that just came in. I agree with going in October but work schedule is opening up a week the end of September for me and the next week I get I'm saving for November for the home rut this year.

You want a friend hit me up. I'll camp in the skeeters and try to get lucky before the rut. Got a stag and (doe?) Call as well that my fiance has been angry with me for practicing recently.

I feel like I could eat one In a single sitting. Really want to try. Maybe shove one in a regular deer and wrap the whole thing in bacon. Cook it underground wrapped in some majestic leaves like a redwood or a truffula tree or something
 
Got a sika seducer, got 2 days off in the 3rd week of October, but I am going to be hunting them in VA on the national refuge. First come first serve hunt, 125 archers per day. All you need is a VA license, daily bag limit of 5 deer, 2 can be stags, and doesn't count against whitetail tags. Giddyup.
 
Lol they taste wayyyyy better than whitetail. I think thats my favorite wild game in the u.s...never tried axis.

What refuge is that.? Assateague? We arent allowed that many at blackwater
 
It shouldnt count toward sika tags on state lands either
 
Where at? I meant toward VA state bag limits.
