How are you guys silencing the cam buckles in straps? Are you using stealth strips, bicycle tuning or some other method?

This is for my Predator Platform by the way. I prefer buckle straps over versa straps on my platform. I use versa straps on sticks though.

thx

Neoprene Yakgrips cut in half.

I tried the Yak grips, but they were too tight for my liking. The stealth strips made especially for cam buckles are what I use and like.

Order some camo Yakgrips to try

Be sure to put a few stitches on the cut seam or they will come apart.

Maybe I'm weird (or should've lubed them up), but it took like 60 lbs or pressure or more to slide yak grips up over the cam buckle.

I just used some camo tape on my Predator platform strap buckle and it seems to work. I previously sprayed my primal step buckles with plasti dip, it worked, but was messy, time consuming, made them heavier, and peels off just as easy as the tape.

2nd for bicycle tube - example here:
- about 3/4 of the way through

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train

I just use camo vet tape. Wrap around the buckle with webbing in it. Wrap kinda tight it sticks to itself and the web slides and works fine. Cheap and easy

I ordered the buckle silencers from stealth strips. You really can’t beat them for the price. If your really strapped for cash, you can always go old school and 3M colored electrical tape, super 33 sold in the electrical aisle at Home Depot. The colored tape doesn’t leave a sticky residue when it gets hot out.

I'm pleased with the bike inner tube on my Podium buckle. I had an old one laying around though.

I tried Yakgrips, bike tubes, and trimmed pieces of Stealth Strips. All work OK but take some time to put on.

Doesn’t get any easier than these. Quick and hassle free. Work better than anything else. Felt lined to prevent binding on the release lever.

No issues with the back side of the buckle being exposed?
