SILENCING PREDATOR?

I have hunted out of mine for three hunts and I have to say It creaks and pops every time I adjust my weight. Definitely going to have to fix because it will for sure cost a deer.

With all of this noisy platform talk makes me want to continue using my ring of Ameristeps and canceling my Predator platform

I ordered some food grade silicon spray for the creaks and pops when shifting weight, supposed to be sent free

Silicone will probably work great, but I have a problem with it soaking into things and never coming out, etc. Dry-lube works great(use it on woodworking tools all the time, no residue, etc) or a little powdered graphite will go a LONG way. Dont have a predator, but have used both those to quiet down stands in the past.
 
Somebody probably mentioned it already but bow wax on all pivot points works great. Take the platform apart and coat the washers. I use it on all of my LW stands and climbing sticks and takes care any noise problem immediately.

Anything short of screw in steps is going to make a little noise from time to time. I think the predator could end up being quieter than my ring. But, I'm not selling my ameristeps.
 
I just wrapped mine in camo vet tape. Took about 10 mins to do. Not sure how well it will hold up, but it is working well so far.

How is the vet tape holding up? Do your boots shred/wear the tape?
