Single Most Favorite Piece Of Clothing

I’m pretty happy with my clothing right now, I could upgrade for nice to haves but there’s not much I ‘need’ at this point.

I welcome cooler weather because I love merino, and specifally the Icebreaker heavier weight stuff I have. And little to complain about the FL Woodbury Jacket, paired with Sanctuary bibs. I’d wear the Woodbury a lot more if I wasn’t worried about stink, and preserving it. Things cozy and just the right weight.

I couldn’t pick just one item (sorry):

1.Asbell Wool Pull-over Anorak - awesome quiet And warmth top layer in most conditions great mid layer for extreme cold.

2. USGI wool gloves liners- I use these all season in conjuntion with a muff with hot hands in extreme cold

3. USGI fleece liner bibs. These are awesome for saddle hunting instead of bulky exterior bibs And they’re cheap at $14 a pair.

4. USGI Field Pants, Cold Weather, Woodland best pants ever made for hunting in my opinion.

5. Marsupial Gear Bino Harness -Chest Rig. Since switching to a chest harness I don’t think I’ll ever go back to tucking them inside my coat.

So if you had to pick one article of clothing that you wouldn't want to hunt without, what would it be? It can be something you also scout, trap, lounge, or wear day to day in also, but it has to be something you wear hunting. What is that one piece you would recommend ten times over that you absolutely love and can't say enough good things about?

For me, its the Badlands Cool-Touch Hoodie. I freakin' love that thing. Super comfortable and works really well early season, with smartwool 150 or 250 mid-season, or just a layer late season. I would encourage everyone to add one to their collection.
Sounds silly but I always have my shemagh close by

Sitka mountain pants would probably be my choice. Durability, fit and function are spot on.

You know what’s funny, I have those, a thin long sleeve, a vest, and a jacket all in the subalpine camo and I’ve never worn them hunting hahaha I’m so stuck on the system I know works during whatever conditions they have just sat in a tote. Guess I may be missing out.

If it's all large, I'll send you a crisp new big head ben for the set since it is just taking up space in your tote. ;)

Warm weather I like the guide gear quick dry shirt/gaiter/hood. Drys fast, lightweight, built in face gaiter, hood keeps the sun off ur neck, and who doesn't like bottomland camo? Get them on sale for 24 bucks...

Cool weather I like the surplus polortec green fleece jacket. Lightweight but warm for it's thickness, drys off fast, layer it or wear alone, made in the USA, like a snuggly hug.
I bought 1 for my whole family...

Want to sell? Sizes?

Tingley Airgo boots with Yoders ultralight chaps. They weigh nothing and I can deploy them in less than 2 minutes if I need to cross creek or bust through briars.

Browning Hell's Canyon Parka. Awesome early season windbreaker and rain coat. Wear it with the primaloft liner and a t-shirt and it gets you through most of gun season. Wear a thick polypro under it and you're good for all but the nastiest of the January cold blasts here.

My Ororo Heated Vest, hands down. I'm very cold-natured, and absolutely nothing does more for me than having an external heat source to warm me up. A light base layer, this vest, and any good winter windproof jacket should get most guys comfortably down to 30* and some probably down to 20*. Not many pieces of clothing can really extend my time on stand/in saddle substantially, but this one definitely does.
By the way, it happens to be on a major sale at the moment for anyone who's interested.
