Sit Drag Ordering

I'd need to dig up the report again. It was a couple years ago. I want to say bridge failure. Isolated case indeed but I still try to have a back up outside the bridge. If you look at modes of failure and propagate the probabilities, the area around your bridge is your most likely place of failure. All depends on how much risk you want to take. Unless I couple the sit drag with my rock climbing harness, I'll just need to accept it.

Wow. Here I thought my memory was starting to go.

There is another report elsewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

Ok. Who's knows what happened based off of that. He could have not secured the connection on his tree strap.

I would guess unintentionally doing something stupid. I think we've all been there in the woods.

Like I said, there is a better report. That one took 3 minutes in Google ;)

Lol. I know. Just commenting on the info in that one

Wow. That video is intense. It could have ended much worse, thankfully it appears there was a full recovery. Scary to think of all the things that could go wrong. Especially for those of us who don't have anyone nearby to help.

I wouldn't get the extension straps. I did and initially used them until I started using a wider belt for back support. That being said...I do have them in case I decide to go back to using them.

Don't need it. Go as cheep as possible.

The owner of SitDrag is probably seeing an order spike and wondering what in the hell is going on.

He's yelling "finally hit the big time baby!" LOL. until everyone on Saddle Hunter gets one and sales stop I wish I would have got one years ago really. I use to carry the top section of my climber with me for a ground seat while rifle hunting and the SD would have been so much better for that. I'm gonna buy an unmodded one just to use for situations like that.

Check out the hammock seat. Super cheap, super light, super comfy. It can be a bit noisy, and of course DaveT has already sorted that out.

Lol!!! I know what you mean. I could have saved my back a few years toting all that crap. Truth be known I wish I had found it before my guido. I could have bought a case of sit drags and set up a southern dealership. Funny thing is I showed it to my brother...he was in shock...his response was "it's too simple".

I have 2 trophyline saddles that are going to be hard to keep. I just might sell them and be a full time SD'er.

Anybody have two SD's and tried using them together? I think two hooked together at the side loops would be pretty cool. The second one you could move up your back for more support or just take it off and use only one. I might try it

The only issue I see with this is they will be fairly noisy rubbing together.

Is the material noisy? Mine should be here tomorrow

By itself not really. I could maybe see two of them together making a little noise in cold weather.

Kind of sounds like Ken's Molle saddle. I'm putting one of those together this spring, and may do a sit drag as well. I love how inexpensive saddles can be! Gives me options.
