Yea I was reading a post about the way that he climbs a tree. It was a great video. The post was in the climbing forum. If you didn't know, he's actually on here and is a great guy to talk to. He's the king of the preacher's seat on here in my opinion!
@noxninja, care to point these guys to some more pics and info?
Cheers
How do you like the single pivot point compared to two for your bridge going through the seat? Does it get a bit tippy at all?
This version is what I call "The Pulpit" cause as my buddy says "It's just a little something to lean on" LOL
I literally sat on the board on the ground and marked the sides of my butt and where I thought it would be comfy under my thighs and then did a 10” stand off. Also with mine it ran the straps all the way under the board so that the straps are supporting my weight and the board is just for comfort and to spread the straps so there’s no pinch. This allowed me to use 3/8 ply and still have full safety factor. Also I’m always in my rock harness.Ditto on the bridge? and what are the measurements on the board? I planned to make one out of scrap plywood this weekend and test one out.

I like the bridge better than anything I have ever had. I don't feel tippy at all. The fork holds me steady against the tree while at the same time allowing me to pivot. I will tell you this. When I began using a runner instead of a fixed bridge it is something that I did have to get used to, and by that I mean trusting myself that I was still safe in position. (My rock climbing harness has made this even better) I make sure that the webbing is under and over the edge to allow me hip room and no pinch. Someone asked for dimensions, I will be glad to supply you with them, but I can tell you that I basically customized it to my rear and I had to play around with the length and width of the fork until I found the one that I was most comfortable with. How do you like the single pivot point compared to two for your bridge going through the seat?
