I painted my Helium sticks today. Here’s my attempt at Sitka Subalpine. Now I just need my platform to get here so I can get in the woods!

Excellent job! I use subalpine in the saddle up until I need to put on Fanatic bibs. However, my tree trunks don’t look like subalpine lol

Thank you! Yeah they probably won’t blend in as well as other patterns but in my mind it looks cool so hopefully the deer won’t notice too much lol

How did the paint take to the rubber?

It’s holding up so far. I’ve only put them together a few times since painting but it hasn’t peeled or cracked yet. Hopefully the clear coat will help it last.

They look great. I painted my sticks but didn't paint the rubber because I was concerned about it not taking to it well enough. I think I'm going to paint them now because it looks like the rubber catches the sun and glares.

Thanks! Yeah worst case if it doesn’t hold up I’ll strip them, sand them and try again. If you don’t want to paint them roughing up the surface should get rid of the glare.
