Sitter knee comfort

I spend my tree time in all positions but am able to be still longer while sitting. I have bad knees so knee to tree may be tougher than some but with TL kneepads I do do 20-30 min. at a time then switch knees. Having tried adding a pad to tree besides yet but will this season. Was thinking maybe next season of trying this and deleting kneepads:

Anyone try Something like that?
I wouldn't rule out that type of pad. I one stick and SRT and I need knee pads climbing up a tree.
I'm fine with the knee pads without carrying an extra knee pad. Thankfully my knees are still pretty good for an old fart.

Man I can’t stand wearing kneepads working around the house and I’m sure not going wear them on stand. But like you, I can be still as a rock sitting vs. swanging all around when I lean lol. So I hang a Thermaseat Heat a Seat from my hys strap and bury my knees in all that warming comfort. The sides dam up around your knees and I swear to you the longer you sit the more comfortable it gets. The one piece of gear that I will walk back to the truck to get if I forget it. Clip it to my backpack for in and out, never know it’s there. Cost of entry is about as good as it gets too.IMG_4796.jpeg

I use this from Academy Sports. If I stand or lean I have a tendency to lock my knees. Like someone above mentioned I've done martial arts all my life since I was 4 and I'll be 52 in Nov. Still roll BJJ twice a week but I've had 3 knee surgeries and standing just doesn't gel with me. More often than not I straddle the tree and let my crotch area rest on the cushion.

What's the padding made of inside? I have one of these that has those tiny styrofoam balls and it is extremely noisy.

That’s actually not a bad idea. Sometimes I’ll carry one in when I’m hunting a new area and might just end up hunting from the ground. Although I do usually wear knee pads and they don’t bother me.

Anyone else try this?
I did in my first saddle, which was in the classic football shape and it was miserable for me. I haven’t tried it yet in my CGM Cobra but need to. I’m betting with the larger profile it’ll be better.

Anyone else try this?
I somewhat tried this the other day. The way the woods set up (if I was facing the tree) the only place deer could be was 4:00 to 9:00. There was a big thick branch coming out of the tree at 3:00 and of course I dropped my pad. As many saddle hunts as I've had I've only dropped my pad twice and it happened to be my last two hunts. I sat side saddle and used that big branch as a back rest and it was about as comfortable a hunt as I'd ever had.

I use the cruzr pad you strap to the tree and have no complaints. Can easily fit both knees on the pad and super comfortable. No discomfort I have noticed. Never tried actual knee pads on my legs but don’t see a need to. Not bothered by them strapped to my legs and the pad only takes a few seconds to strap on.

This was my solution.

Going off what Ricky Racer showed...What IF you made or found 2 wedge shaped pads, sewn in the middle (at thin point) so when attached to tree it would look like >< but with a flat face (sewn center acting as hinge) ???
