Slings and MORE from Treehopper

There is no box stitch on those 2 bottom cross ladders. That is for the leg straps to slide thru. I wonder if they didn't get put in the package by mistake?

I sent an email and asked about the leg loops. I'll let you know when I get a response.
I hope to try this out in a tree this afternoon!

Mark said they are toying with the leg straps and isn't sure how useful they will be. He will send me a pair anyway.
I have never been in an Anderson. I've had an original mesh trophyline and now have a kestrel.
My prototype has leg straps and I kinda like them. I hunted the whole season in a prototype without leg straps and it was fine.
Adding straps (if he chooses not to sell them that way) is easy peasy. 4 feet of 1" webbing and buckles of your choice and you have leg straps. Takes no stitching or other invasive mod.

just ordered the steps and ocb strap as well , thanks for all the insight.

Very comfortable while in a sitting position. Your back and legs are supported well and I could see catching some z's.
I think the leg straps may be more helpful when leaning. I felt the bottom webbing section riding up when leaning in my tree. My tether was a little high though. There is a low creaking sound from the webbing/buckle interface when you flex that area under tension. I think the rubber coating on the buckles might be making the noise with the webbing. I don't think deer would hear it though.

Following. Exciting stuff here.

Will the steps ever be available to order on the website?

I’ve seen a lot of questions about size and weight for the steps. I’ve attached pictures of my ROS here. 5 steps on an OCB from Treehopper. All in about 1.5lbs.

I have this little loop of shock cord on my ROS. It might be a nice add on to the Treehopper ROS. Zip ties make great locks for shock cord. If you zip them super tight they make a permanent, fixed loop. But zip to just the right tightness and the loop loop is now adjustable.
You can tighten or loosen these loops (on the fly) on the ROS and allow the steps to lock solid in place on the strap, or slide on the strap to switch from packing position to set-up position.
These loops work great. Highly recommended.

I sent Mark an email yesterday. Do you know if the saddle is one size or does he have a small medium, large option?

Right now, it just one size, but its working pretty well for a variety of body sizes. Im 5'7" 175 and it fits me well. Some friends up to the 6'4" 220 pound range have found it very comfortable, too. Mark said he may make it in a larger and/or smaller sizes if there becomes a demand for them.

Thanks for that. I fight with these every time I use them. This seems like it’ll keep them in place.
