Small US Outdoor Gear Companies

Apologies to the Florida crew -
Pelican coolers are made in Massachusetts
Solid cases and coolers. Not a small company by any means

Warbonnet outdoors (hammock and camping gear) , dutchware gear(hammock and camping gear) magnus broadheads and a bunch of U.S. broadheads.

When I first learned of these is was very skeptical....since they are made locally I gave it a shot. I've caught 20+ different species of saltwater fish with them....never tried freshwater but I think I try on some of the droppers on the trotline next time I get a chance to go set it. It's like a ribbon of gum with a cheesecloth core. The gum has the attractant and slowly dissolves and the cheesecloth gives it structure and keeps it on the hook...I've caught 8-10 fish on the same piece. Check out fishbites....made in St Augustine FL

Somebody here on the forum gave me a pack to try and I didn't have great success but it did catch fish and was very quick and clean. I will keep some on hand for the limblines I make up and sometimes set to check on the way back from hunting trips on the river.

Go throw some off the beach in the gulf...I have caught all kinds of different fish off the beach using fishbites... pompano, jacks, blues, reds, whiting, sharks, trout...... Good stuff

My wife just found these and loves them. She said she had more luck using it with actual bait on it as well.

Gooserbat Calls- made in Oklahoma. I have a few of their diaphragm calls and they are good quality and not too expensive.
Z-man fishing lures- made in South Carolina. Not sure how small they are but Elaztech is awesome.
Siebert Outdoors- made in Missouri I believe. Custom bass jigs, spinnerbaits, etc.
Magnus Broadheads- made in Kansas. Make quality broadheads like Buzzcuts and Black Hornets. Lifetime warranty.

I have seen it out fish live bait as well... But live bait out fishes fishbites more....I like using because like nutter said..it's quick and clean. It stays on the hook better than live bait so maybe that's why it out fishes sometimes...baitstealers have a hard time ripping it off as opposed to live bait which is usually easy to rip off.. I keep some game shears in the fishing stuff and it makes it easy to cut off the pieces u want....cut it into squares for bottom fishing and I have cut in long ribbons and used like a soft plastic lure

Not sure how small they are anymore, but north mountain gear. They have some great ghillies and leafys.

Ever own one of their jackets? They look great, but I’m afraid they’ll rip easily or something... I see Dave from Pinhoti uses their stuff.

I do. I own a leafy suit. They are thin like most. But seem well made. I mainly pack it in and put it on while on stand. I have worn it a couple times through some nasties but i was pretty careful because i didn't want to rip it. But price point is good so i wouldn't be upset if i had to buy a new suit every couple years

I picked up a leafy top recently. It seems more durable than the ASAT leafy suit I had because it was mostly mesh. It's cost efficient when you can throw it over whatever and blend in. I just got the top because i'm more concerned about breaking up the profile of my upper body.
