Gotta say I see a lot of threads related to soreness popping up but as a new saddle user (coming from a lone wolf assault hang on for years) I wanted to say how NOT sore I am. Overall the saddle is MUCH more comfortable than the lone wolf. As a man who suffers from "zero butt syndrome" my comfort issue has always been a sore bottom from sitting on it. I had to constantly stand/sit/adjust to stay in the stand. In the saddle I am almost 100% leaner and I'm so much more comfortable. Not to mention i also move a lot less.. No back strap needed so far either.

Only part of my body with any soreness is my feet. But ill take some foot fatigue over the constant butt discomfort i had on my hang on.

I had some pinching but not soreness on my first 2 sits. Only when I would sit with my knees against the tree, the lower part of the saddle seemed to squeeze my upper thighs, lower hip, whatever that area is, lower butt, I dont know. But it would squeeze and be uncomfortable. This may be because I got birthing hips but I am a guy, no clue. But it is comfortable after a few sits and no more issue, especially since I upgrade to Phantom XL.

I have had some calf soreness after the first few sits, but not anymore that’s noticeable anyway. I’m wearing a Hawk saddle and the main thing for me is to keep the saddle as low as possible. After a few hours I stood up and pulled it down a bit. I sat for 5 hours yesterday and had no problems other than the only deer I saw being 2 yearlings the button head gave me a 10 yard shot, but I never grabbed my bow. I must have up’d my standards. THe saddle is so much more comfortable than any leaner I’ve sat in.

Are you using a straight platform? Try an angled one as it is more natural to a leaning posture. I prefer straight due to sitting most of the time, but when l do lean i stand on the edge at an angle and it feel alot less pressure on feet.
