Anyone successfully done this? I tried it 3 times today each time with a fresh clean tub full of lukewarm water and it was a total fail all three times. The paint develops a film on the surface almost immediately and the item looks orange peeled when done. YouTube makes everything look easy!!!!!any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

try cold water. the warm water is aiding in paint dry faster which is causing your film developed. I say try it, but I gave this a try on a couple small things just to test and it didn't work to great in my opinion

I tried it one time on a deer gun I got a super deal on.it turned out ok, cold water and it was pretty cold out it looked good but was too thick on slide and other parts, should have tore gun down.. I think cold water in a warm building would be the best bet. I ended up stripping this gun and taking it to bare metal and oiling it.. I’ll prolly have it professionally hydrodipped..
