I think they look cool with the holes, but I wasn't going thru the hassle. I am not hunting for style. I simply put the strips on and was done.

Been running stealth strips on my LW sticks for years, have it for my beast sticks when they come in. No way I’m not running stealth strips. I like how they look with the holes cut out, but I’m leaving them covered. Where they stack, the stealth strips material will get trimmed so they go together as designed.

I take every opportunity to quiet gear down. You never know when you might bump into something that will make noise, especially when sneaking in in the dark, or thru a nasty tag alder or red brush thicket near me.

I read on here someone stated that this had actually happened to them. Bad on me for trusting someone who might have lied about first hand experience. Unless they didn’t and it just hasn’t happened to you. IDK. The OP asked for potential cons. Carry on.
Sorry if that came across as being a smart alec. Didn’t mean it that way. I have 100’s of hunts on mine including testing prototypes before Beast sticks went into production and I have never experienced any type of whistling whatsoever. It’s pretty funny because I brought up the whistling thing completely as a joke and it suddenly blew up as fact. Then it was even mentioned on a LWCG podcast. I find that hilarious so the reason for my post about fake news. LOL
If anybody is still worried about it by all means keep the holes covered up but I honestly can say it’s not an issue to be concerned about at all.
