Stepping away for a bit

I think "Team Last Chance" needs one more person.
Second that for team last chance. Hunt anyway that makes you happy. And hang around, great people around here. Good luck this year!

I don’t understand… the sit drag IS the original saddle. If your hunting out of a sit drag then you are saddle hunting out of a REAL SADDLE. Weather you hunt from a sit drag or a climber or a ladder stand, not hanging around here will only be a disservice to yourself. Too much great general hunting information in this forum. I say stay put.

Darn it I wish I saw this thread a few days ago before I sold my spare saddle I would have mailed it to you to help a fellow hunter chase his dreams :pensive:

Was sad to see the title, but glad to read most of the contents, you're one of the names I trust on here, please don't go. Lol fanbois coming out of the woodwork.

Some of those old climbers were the best. I used to have an old tree lounger stand. It was big and bulky but the most comfortable stand in the woods. I spent many of days napping in that thing. Wish I still had it.
I don’t ever plan on getting rid of my old tree lounge stand even though it’s cumbersome to put up, as you know it’s idea for hunting in absolute comfort. I’ve got numerous fixed stands set on my property and have 2 ladder stands I need to put out one of these cool days. My saddle hunting is mainly for hunting public lands.

It's only expensive if you make it expensive...

You could get by with a RCH, DIY fleece sling, one stick, a lineman belt, and a tether.

High end saddles, rappel gear, fancy sticks and platforms are just luxury items.

Refreshing to see someone that understands life and priorities. Takes a big man to forego his own desires to better provide for his family….and publicly admit it on a forum that is full of T. Nothing but Respect. Hope you hang around.

I have a recon now but I wouldn’t skip a beat going back to my sitdrag and rch. I should actually try it to compare again.

Either way, I wouldn’t leave this wealth of knowledge and camaraderie unless I was leaving hunting entirely and didn’t want the distraction.
