Been playing around with this stick-step for a couple months. My first thought was strictly a one stick method tool. For this I prefer using a cam buckle & 2 step aider. However, I am going to build 3 more & use a movable 2 step aider as a multiple stick method. Pretty much the WE concept but no rope tying or cam over issues. Also they should pack better than WE steps, but they will be heavier.

Don’t have anything on the tree. This is the ready to hang position.

Very nice. Have you tried it for one sticking? Any problems reaching it when you climb?

Yes currently have it setup for one sticking with the cam buckle. I don’t find reaching it much different vs a conventional stick.

Interested.

I am one sticking with a short stick (18" two step), 2x step aider and cam cleat. Do you ever need a hand hold when stepping from top aider step to your stick step?

I generally grab the tree for stability on the step up.

Nope haven’t ordered the rest of the standoffs or steps from Dan O.

The current components came from Eastern Woods - angled double step & ultra light standoffs with custom 7/16 channel. I will be switching to straight steps vs the angle when I order.
