Does anyone have a setup with a pack or system to carry a bow, climbing sticks, and platform/ring of steps all on your back? walking in hands free is a lot more comfortable, especially on longer walks. I see many threads and discussions about carrying sticks/platform on the same pack, but what about adding the bow in there? i find the biggest challenge of this is keeping your bow and sticks from making contact with each other. if anyone walks in and out "hands free", how do you do it? oh, i realize WE steps would make this a lot easier, but for now, i'm carrying a set of cut heliums.

It's possible and I've done it with the XOP pack. I put the platform inside, strapped sticks on the bottom with the bedroll straps, and used the bow carrier for the bow. It's the only pack I've ever owned that allowed me to do it

which xop pack are you referring to? I do it now with a pack, but i have to do the bow horizontally, and it hits on stuff a lot. I use the bedroll straps for the sticks also. I was curious if there were any others out there that found a better system. I was wondering if the superday would allow it, but the bedroll straps seem to come up around the back a little bit, so I was wondering if there would be bow contact while walking.

I use a Turkey Vest. I have climbed with the bow in the back pocket, but refuse to climb with broadheads. The sudden impact at the end of a fall seems enough without the homemade punji pit! Since im hauling up the arrows, I went back to hauling up the bow as well.

My Alps pack has a bow/gun holder attachment strap and buckles. My bow is very secure in it. I put my bag of Wild Edge steps inside the main compartment along with my hydration bladder. I may stuff my fleece neck gaiter and hats on top of it. The second compartment on this bag folds down to a table, and I keep my rangefinder, binos, grunt tube etc in there. The rear facing section of the bag has molle webbing attachment points where I use Nite Ize gear ties to attach my insulating layers and jacket. For me, it is not mandatory for my pack to carry my bow, but it is a nice option to have when I do use it.

I do it all the time it is so much better with a frame pack to carry 20plus lbs. Put sticks between the frame and pack and bow on the outside external straps. That is why I will be switching over to the pro suspension by kuiu. The 1850 is gonna be GAMECHANGER hahaha

i used a horn hunter g3 briefly. it was great, but too large for me to keep in the stand with me. perhaps i should try the g2. the hybrid x looks awesome! i'm just not sure if i want that up the tree with me. does the bag come off of the frame quickly and easily?

I don’t know if you’ve thought of this or not. I did this the other day and while walking out I snuck up on a group of does. I was within 30 yards before I seen them. They never saw me until I started trying to get my bow off my backpack. I will carry my bow from now on, maybe even have an arrow nocked.
