I wanted to wait until I had some real tree time before posting this.I called OAL to see if they would make me a strait scout to use for one stick climbing.I wanted it strait so I didn't have to use a ros.If there was enough room,I'd be able to pivot for a drop shot on my weak side. They made me one and actually shipped it out that day, which was unreal.I've played with this system quite a bit and it's simply awesome.Because the standoffs put you several inches away from the tree and where the scout attaches to the top of the stick, you have plenty of room to pivot and make that shot to the weak side.I haven't weighed it but I doubt it's more than 2.5lbs with a 20" shikar stick, eastern outdoor daisy chain and two step aider from backwoods mobile.I start about 7' off the ground and three effortless pulls gets me at hunting height with a platform. It's easily the best mobile system I've ever used.
