Tactacam reveal X $69

So I have both of mine out now I went with the intermediate plan. I set the first one up about a week ago and the second one yesterday. They have been working great it’s like Christmas every time you get a new photo. So I went yearly intermediate is the 500 photos per camera a yearly photo amount or monthly? I think I’m going to get way more photos than 500 in a year if it isn’t!!! I know the cameras pool too under the same plan so now I have 1000 photos between the two cameras but is that monthly or yearly?

its a monthly count. I only do the basic $5 plan for 250 photos a month and it’s plenty for me.

Yeah that's probably what I should have done but the places of have these they add up quick.
 
yup, monthly. I have mine out too. I actually spent 6 plus hours on Saturday hanging these and moving around other cameras. was a fun day.

I am noticing that even on sensitivity level 1 these X 1.0s seem to be bothered by tree movement more than my 2.0 or my XB.

But I'm picking up some good deer movement too. Several bucks with significant velvet growth and splits.

I haven't noticed the tree movement too bad on mine yet but purposely set them at 2 shot burst with one second between them. It seems to keep multiple pics to a minimum. I have one buck on mine so far but I have one on a mock scrape and one on a point that juts out to a fallow field that heads toward crop fields. The field is planted in corn this year!!! I have mostly does but one buck with some decent mass and about ear width or so. Where did you place yours. I may tweak my ultimate locations just starting to work with these cell cams and learn them first before I get into really trying to track buck behavior but man I'm really like them so far.

I'm mostly a scrape guy. Mostly because I'm on public land and hang my cameras high. So pointing down minimizes the field of vision to a narrow spot, so scrapes are good for that. When I find new scrapes I will also try to narrow down their approach and hang some cameras heading to the scrape.
 
I was able to do the March 2023 update. But I can't get the new July 2023 one to take. I only have one of my X's at home, the other one is deployed. Anyone else struggling with the update? Not finding much online

The new App interface seems to be working with my X’s but not sure if that’s what you mean. I don’t like as much as the last one though. Probably just need to get used to it.
 
Sorry I meant the firmware update on the camera itself, not the phone app.
