Right on. I told my wife tonight I had a new strategy... I am going out tomorrow morning and coming home after I kill a deer. Didn't seem like she thought that was a good plan. :tearsofjoy:

Finally connected with a doe last night. She was a big girl. I have not been seeing alot of sign, like I normally would this time of the season. Very few scrapes and rubs, etc. At least around here it looks like we're st keast a good week or 2 off from the fun beginning. View attachment 55953
How big is that doe? She looks monstrous. That head is huge. Congrats on a monarch.

Also, we are doing pretty well in the contest. We are hanging with the lead pack and within striking distance. Keep slapping those does and let's win this thing!

I have her on a 6 foot table and she took up most of its length. She was definitely at least a 3 year old. We took her on a cart my friend built out of a motorized wheel chair. I would never have attempted to drag her out. I would have quartered her and packed her out and that would be any fun either.

I haven't been able to hunt much (work, life, family) but we did have a great time last night acquiring candy. Life with youngins is crazy and tough many times but they are so sweet to melt your heart other times.

Saw a bunch of deer at distance this morning. Going again in the morning. Going to try to move in close to where the action was yesterday and see what happens.
