Team 5 - 2021

Dang it now work is trying to renege on their policy now that they realized they just sent home our entire team and we have a schedule to meet. Might get at least one day of deer hunting in.

Company policy at 0930 “we follow strictly to cdc guidelines and not even a negative test will let you come in. You need to quarantine 14 days.”
Company at 1500: “oh you can just get a test tomorrow and come in, we reserve the right to bypass policy when needed. This is to ensure the safety of all our employees”

Whole lotta jibber jabber not a lot of killin!

let’s go boys! What can I do to help?!

do we need to have a live campfire meeting to discuss tactics, yard passes, work excuses, etc?

I wish a campfire chat would solve my limitations! I'm limited on vacation and have too many projects going on. See retaining wall pic below. I'm going to wrap that one up this afternoon. I should get some more time in the woods around Thanksgiving. My ventures to the woods so far have been fruitless. So I've been cyber scouting public like mad... pressure is much higher this year compared to the past decade.

I’m full time in the deer woods. Lots of near misses and great days. Killing a big buck with a recurve ain’t no walk in the park.

In my area we are moving into lockdown and I’m going to start playing a more aggressive game.

Well I had my chance. I got back out in the woods later then I wanted right before three in the same spot I’ve gotten a few daylight pictures of some bucks. I set up in the same tree I was yesterday and seeing all those deer. This was just slightly out of visual range of my camera. Well long story short he came in front of the camera with 5 minutes of shooting light left and then crept by my stand at last light at around 20 yards. I squinted and squinted as he came by and I just could not see him. I didn’t know until I got down that it was him. This was the one time that being on my phone might of helped me know what deer was coming. Regardless I just couldn’t see. It sucks because I had two buddies that said I should have set up closer to my camera. Mannnn! Hope he’s still around next week did a shot. View attachment 56923
