@MN_Bowhunter4 I'm also from Mn, just curious if you'd be interested in or any other team member that's hunting Minnesota as well to get together for a tandem scout day and plan a hunt out... Just throwing it out there, I don't like LOSING! haha

Where do you typically hunt? My haunts are usually south metro public parcels. I’d definitely be interested if we can make something work. I’ve got one area I’ve been meaning to hunt but haven’t made it yet. Perhaps we can do a blind scout and hunt some afternoon?

Opener weekend i went up to the sand Dunes state forest about an hour north of the twin cities, pressure was a bit heavy but I still saw some good activity, i've scouted 1 south public WMA near Shakape in the metro last year and busted some bedded does. I'm always open to go to new areas as well as weekend camping for further destinations...

I know that WMA well. I’ll actually be in there on Saturday morning. If you’re looking at those locations, the ones I have in mind shouldn’t be much farther. I’ll shoot you a PM with some details.

Yesterday it was 95 degrees so i got stuff done around the house. Today around 80, so i'm heading to some public after work. It's on now.
BUST...I was setup by 4:50pm, just then a guy walks by "exploring". I told him what was up and he left. Two hrs later some deer passed by in the canopy 70 yards to far. Left at dark and reached my vehicle by 8:30pm....lonnng night

Got a chance to scout tonight for a park hunt I have coming up. Needless to say I’m excited. Planning to skip work a little early to hunt the evening if the weather holds out.

I'll be getting out this weekend for a couple of hunts. So far I have only hunted opening day 9/6. I had several does almost but, not quite give me a shot I was comfortable taking with my recurve. Then I had a small 4 point feed 10 yards from me for 15 minutes. I briefly considered shooting him since it would have been my first deer with a recurve in 20 years but all I kept thinking about was sitting on the couch all of November because I didn't have a tag, so I let him walk.

I am dumb. Its 93 degrees and I am headed out to shimmy up a tree.
You think your dumb I headed out Tuesday after work and it had cooled from 100 to 99 when I left the truck. Surely the deer won’t move before last light. WRONG. Bumped a doe and two yearlings 5 yds from the tree I wanted to be in. Oh well will try again this weekend.

Spent the last 1.5 hours with a lone doe bedded about 50 yards in front of me. She eventually got up and wandered off, never offering any sort of shot. Super cool hunt tonight!
