had deer in the area, but no bodies on the ground unfortunately. I’m done hunting for a few days. Taking a trip with my wife. Good luck over the weekend!

Put an arrow through a doe on Tuesday evening. Worked all day Wednesday but I will post pic and enter it in contest submission thread tomorrow... ughhh, it's after midnight already, crap! So sometime today. Gotta get some sleep, got a date with a bear that keeps showing up on camera...

No pic/submission never happened.

Got in tree Tuesday at 4:40pm. 20 minutes later two doe came off the hillside and stop at edge of plot. One gets skittish and starts scenting the air, looking in the trees for me. They circled around the edge to the other side then entered the plot and start feeding. When this one gave me her broadside at 30 yards, I sent it. Watched the arrow disappear in her as she jumped and circled around to the other side of apple trees. She stood there for a bit then crashed through the evergreens and out of sight.
Only had a few drops of blood for a blood trail but I was able to follow it until it crossed over neighbors driveway. Called neighbor to let him know I was on his turf. He came out to help search. We found her on my property about 70 yards from impact site. High double lung pass through, 515gr arrow with a single bevel bh.
I was in the tree to the left of the 3 darker trees.

Back from my trip and headed out this afternoon. I also found the deer I shot last week. Obviously the meat was bad had a lot of damage from turkey buzzards and the like but I feel much better having found it.
It happens man. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Learn from it and move on.

Could you see where you hit it? Or to far gone?

I botched us on 12 points last night. Pouring rain he came in circled around wouldnt stop in a lane he started off at my 10 by the time I took a shot he was at my one. Ended up slipping off platform and having to hold myself out with my knees. Would have made a cool story if that shot wasn’t a miss!

If it makes you guys feel better, I missed twice within 5 minutes on the same doe Sunday morning.
Only reason I came up with why I missed was it was early in the morning and my pin wasn't bright enough to give me a clear sight picture. Later that day I shot bow to confirm broadheads and field points were grouping. They were, problem was they were hitting 8" high!! Must have knocked the sight pretty hard on one of last week's hunts!
I'm just happy it wasn't my eyes failing me

Hi guys, I finally got out for my first hint yesterday in one of my preset spots that had alot of deer (based off camera) ..... and saw nothing all afternoon. A squirrel and a weasel kept my heart racing for several hours (I don't think the weasel ever caught him) but it was a beautiful night to be up in the trees. Im Definitely out of saddle shape, gonna get back to it this coming weekend.
