Had a shooter buck at 10 yards last night and he busted me. He came in to a grunt call ad I didn’t see him until he was on top of me. Working security at my kid’s school today but should be back in the saddle tomorrow morning.

Well it’s Nov 1. Dropped the kids off at school and headed back to my preset spot. Found a guy in a tree 100 yards away. I didn’t want to give away my location so I turned around. Had to head home and grab a mobile setup. Got into a tree about 10:00. Have no bow hook. Tons of fresh buck sign though so I’ll take it.
There were several people on the public I hunted Monday evening. I hunted private today close to home. My wife got bit by a brown recluse and I wanted to be close if she needed me. I’m setting up blinds this afternoon to get ready for gun season
Seemed like a promising day despite the initial setbacks. Saw nothing, called it quits around 3:30
Lots of movement today, headed out in the AM! Let’s go!

decent buck ceased being a qualification about a month ago. It better not have spots either.
This tree is about 25 yards to the right of that camera. Plenty of small trees in the area. Not sure why this one was chosen. I’ve never seen rubs on trees that thick.
