Test Run #1:
Went out into neiborhood woods and tried several different climbing methods on different diameter trees. Conclusion: I like basketball size trees and smaller. In the end I enjoyed just sitting in the tree. Seen 3 Doe and really enjoyed the whole experience. Love the Mantis, the Ridge Runner platform with Wild Edge Steps paired with pad against tree for knee support. Packing the equipment in and out worked well with my back pack. Can't wait to do this with a bow!
 
Yeah, I found that unless I can interlace my fingers on the other side of the tree, it's too large.

I love big trees but I use spurs. Deer can’t see through trees.
