Tethrd predator XL VS THE STANDARD?

Does anyone know if the standard predator is going to be updated with the same new features the xl has?
I love my xl but would be interested in trying the standard. It looks like it would be more packable in my backpack...

I used both on side leaners and they work fine

The tree bracket from DanO gripped a little better for me than the factory bracket

Seems legit. Got any pictures, or will it just be posted on the website with a "coming soon"? (I think I've got some time over the holidays for a small, DIY-type project here. Should have enough time to dig up my deceased grandfather, grab his hip replacement parts, and give it a go. May have to use the footrests from Grandma's wheelchair to get the necessary telescoping parts, though. She got a bit of dimentia going on, likely won't miss them for a couple of days, you think?)

My XL works great! My only issues is packing it in. I fee the standard may be more efficient and I feel there is more than enough room for my size 13’s on the XL that I’m willing to give the standard a try when they update some features

That's what stopped me from buying the XL. My standard fits in my back pack with no room to spare. With my sticks and heavy clothes strapped to the outside of my bag, I'm already at the point of having more on the outside of my bag than inside.. cant add more.

Yea, that is pretty much where I’m at too. This is my first yr saddle hunting and I held out to buy the xl hearing it was coming. Ordered it the first day it became available. I really love all the updates they made. I just want it on the smaller one now. Never happy I guess...

I have the GEN II predator and couldnt be happier...the xl is too big to pack in and imo the size upgrade is un-necessary...if you cant get the GEN II to lock like its welded to the tree then I believe you are doing something wrong...that thing licks so solid to the tree its amazing...I literally cant push it off the tree sideways...DanO is the ManO and has the best gear and parts on the market but I dont see a reason to upgrade the Predator GENII ...Its one of my favorite pieces of gear...PEACE!
