Tethrd surprise package?!

Yes sir! I have counted about 15 points on him it’s hard every angle shows more points and trying not to double count any I may die when I do see him hopefully buck fever doesn’t take me out! I have a nice 8 on my wall that was my first bow kill from several years ago and I remember falling apart when he came into range it’s like my arms went to jello lol

Wow, I am jealous. Free Tethrd gear, monster bucks on camera. what else is there in life. LOL

But seriously, it's nice to have some ladies in the saddle showing all us guys how it's done. Good luck gets that giant this year. can't wait to see the pic of you sitting behind him and make us all look like rookies.

I will try to put him on the ground opening day is next Saturday turkey mites and all count me in my tree! I’ve found several beds that I have set cameras on the trails so I have some good starting points! I love being a woman in a stand my goal is to encourage more to do the same I have a 5 year old daughter who gets in the two man with me and she LOVES to hunt, has her deer meals planned before season even starts she already knows we eat what we kill! she is definitely the next generation of female hunters i am hoping my 1 year old has interest too!

Happens to the best of us!

I experience the same, but it’s mostly after I watch them hit the ground. I guess I am luck it’s after! I have actually had to wrap my arms around the tree and hold on for dear life! Lol....I was so weak in my knees. I suppose if that feeling ever goes away, I will stop hunting. But honestly I doubt that will ever happen.

Seriously I know exactly what u r saying after I heard my buck hit the ground and my knees buckled out from under me I had just got my brace off my leg from knee surgery a month before my hunt so I was already weak on my left side I thought someone may have to climb up and pack me out of my tree I was so weak and shaky best feeling ever though I am ready for this hunting season to begin I literally would stay in the tree everyday all day if it was possible

The instance I am talking about...I literally thought I was going to fall out of the tree (hanging by harness of course, lol). I was so excited I couldn’t think, so I wrapped my arms around the tree. Lol

The buck I had shot was on public land.....he was paralleling my stand about 100 yards down the hill. I barely saw him. He looked like solid 125” deer. I reach for my grunt call and it falls to the ground. All I had left was my can call. I hit it 3 times, he stops but never looks my direction. I know he heard it. He makes a car hood size scrape, and then pees on his gland on his hind legs (so cool to watch)! He continues on away from me. I panic and hit the can again (now or never right). He turns down the hill (away) and then continues 270 degree back exactly in my direction...walks 120 yards on a string and stops at 31 yards. Slight quartering to me...I released a 150 grain werewolf right through his shoulder, it passes through. He ran back to the scrap and got the wobbly legs going on...I’m losing it now! Lol...he falls and I am tore up. He turned out to be 150” and about 350#. (We weighed him field dressed at 275# and he wasn’t completely off the ground, he was very long! I miss judge his score due to his incredible size! this happened 9 years ago, I will never forget a detail!

Sorry to get off topic! But this is why I bow hunt!

Honestly, there must be something wrong with me...while I love to hunt, I do not have the hebie jebies anymore when a doe or buck comes into range. My last doe I shot, I just calmly rappeled down the tree, saw the doe when i got on the ground. Actually spoke to it and then got my shotgun off my back and drilled her. Walked to the site, found blood and trailed her to her spot. Then dragged her to an open field and gutted her. I haven't felt that weakness for several years.
