Anyone else have issues with the rubber coated bridge plate speaking with minimal weight shifting? I have the ‘rope hole’ plates and when I move to shoot or lean the webbing creaks against the rubber coated plates. Still pretty new so maybe just an issue of breaking it in.

Cut mine off with a box cutter. No more noise, no sharp edges. Well machined parts. Much better. May use stealth strips, we shall see....only took a couple minutes.

Are the recon slings one size fits all? I am trying to find a saddle for big guys (44 waist). I know Tethrd is supposed to be coming out with one but I am tired of waiting.

The rubber plates make noise! I removed the rubber from both of my Recons and used stelth strips on them.

Yeah. I removed the rubber too.
I hunted all last season from a Recon prototype. Mark did not coat the plates on the prototypes and they worked great without the coating. When I bought a production model Recon from him, I experienced the noise.
The easy, low impact fix is to put some paraffin or bowstring wax on the plate but I didnt want to trust that the wax would be bomb proof in all conditions. Since I had already hunted an entire season with the uncoated plates on the prototype, it was a no brainer...I removed the coating. Easily done in a couple minutes. Its quiet as a mouse now. I love my Recon.

Did y’all remove all of the rubber off the plates or just the portion that the panel webbing goes through?

2 hunts with the recon now I’m I’m noticing the same issue.

I have the nylon webbing bridge and I’m curious if the bridge still locks in tight with the rubber removed.

All the rubber! And I added stelth strips on the out side of the plates.
