"The official saddle hunting backpack thread"

Just hope he sends the correct thin

just hope he sends you what you ordered. He sent a piece in a color I didn’t order and after at least 10 attempts to contact through there website as well as forums no response. Gear may be nice but this guy has zero customer service. If your gonna run a good business you need both.
He sent me exactly what I ordered and spoke with me numerous times via text and phone to ensure he was designing what I wanted. So I don’t know what to tell you. I had nothing but a positive and smooth experience with him.

I’ve got receipts of at least ten attempts via email and every Avenue he gives and nothing. You got lucky it sounds like

Any had any experience with the KUIU Venture Divide 2000? I can't figure out if the front expansion pouch will accommodate my EDP. Any other input is appreciated.

I have the 1500 and stock it would not. I cut out the black stretchy stuff that connects the two pieces and it worked good. When I was using a saddle and platform it was a money pack for that. I keep meaning to post it in the classifieds

Maybe because it was during summer time when I ordered his work load was slow or something. I have no clue. I do know he was posting on here back then also here and there.
He finally got back to me and is sending a replacement in the correct color. It took a month to get a reply but I’m glad he did. At least he made good on it. Gotta give him credit there

That’s awesome. Sorry it took so long. But a right has been corrected. Again, I don’t know him or have any affiliation. I did order in the slow season so I’m sure he wasn’t as busy with custom orders. Maybe similar to a year ago when people were comping about turn around times on TX5 saddles and their lack of response. Well, TX5 is still kicking. So maybe that’s what was going on.

Anyone using this tidewe pack (before I go through the other 3,000,000 posts ?)

i have been on a backpack search since day one of saddle hunting. i still haven't found the one i want. i have found some that were close. the horn hunter g2 is on my list of packs to try. i walk a fair many miles in archery season, and i like to be able to strap my bow and extra clothes to my pack also. i had a horn hunter g3 at one point. it was nearly perfect in every way, except one. it was too big in the tree. i am anxious to see the suggestions and ideas that this thread produces.

my suggestion is to consider getting a pack of the right size that fits you well and carries comfortably

and then modify it to hold your stuff either by sewing it yourself, paying for alterations, or putting straps and bungees off the Molle or other tie downs

wanting an ultra clean look on an expensive pack that is perfect for you out of the gates can hold people back

it’s easy to make very strong stitches yourself by hand, it just might not be great to look at

What are folks using for one stick pack?

Considering a one stick is probably the easiest thing to pack, I would be confident to say you could lash it to most any pack or bag easily. I have used a cabelas bow and rifle pack, an eberlstock hydration pack, a kuiu venture 2300, a eberlstock m1 frame carrier, and currently using a Mystery Ranch popup38. All of these are and were more than capable of carrying a one stick. For each I would use the outside lashing at the top and bottom of the stick to securely fasten it to the pack vertically. You don't need much if carrying a one stick effectively is all youre looking for. My suggestion would be us the backpack or bag you are already using.

Im currently using a Badlands monster fanny. I think I just need to take some time to figure it out. If any is using that pack one sticking, I would love to see photos.

I would normally carrying them in. I have since switch to one sticking. Still figuring out how Ill tote in this setup.
My minimalist set up at one time was a small Fanny pack. It has shock cord on top so I just attached the stick to it. Wearing my saddle I would have the Fanny and one stick back and to the side. It carried surprisingly well.
