You could make the 3-step etriers work really easily as well. It's really just personal preference. If I were as tall as you, I think I'd go the 5/4 etrier route.

Keep in mind, you have to have a dual top step for this to work. It looks like the Odin sticks make that easy.

How do you like the Odin sticks? It looks like the company may be out of business already.

Go set up on any tree at ground level with everything you need for the hunt.

Then pack it all up as if you are leaving. Put it away in that order. That way it all comes out in the order you need it. That's the only way I can keep it all straight And organized.
Water bottle, thermacell and other items that need to be replenished each hunt on the outside to remind me to take them out before re-storing my scent lok pack. And then I leave them in the bin so I don't forget the, next time.

Whether any of that works for you or not, you will get a system after a few trips.

I have liked them. They get pretty tight to the tree because of the design. I wish the straps were permanently attached to one side. I like the modular part because I can order more steps and have double steps all the way up. I should probably order before they go under. I was between Wild Edge stepladder and Odin.

Where did you see that info?

I'm just assuming since all of their stuff is out of stock and they haven't updated their social media in a long time. I have no idea though. They could be blowing and going.

Oh yeah. If I were you I'd go with a 5 step etrier for your bottom stick. On your second you could do a 4 step, and leave your top stick alone. You'd be able to get over 20' with that setup. You're tall enough to pull it off pretty easily I think.
Do they only come in blue?

Actually 2 of mine are purple and 1 is orange. I didn't get to pick Colors. You can dye them easily with Rit Fabric Dye.

It was crazy convenient! I put layers of clothes, sticks, sit drag, everything. It was secure and quite.

I used a large duffle bag the last time out and put everything inside it may become my go to.

I thought about getting an old army surplus duffle bag from an outfitter here. Looks like it would hold everything and not have a rigid frame. Not sure what I need to do as far as pack.

Thanks again.

I have forgotten gear lost gear dropped gear from the tree. I have taken unnecessary gear to the tree I have taken forever to climb. But practice is making it better.
On Friday I dropped something forgot my pull up rope for my bow so I made an extra awkward trip up the tree yet I still got a buck Friday night. Saddle hunting is getting easier

Glad to hear it. You have to be very systematic when you're hunting mobile. Everything has a place and a routine. Never change it. I never deviate from mine. Everything gets packed in the same place and utilized at the same time and order on every hunt. That way I can keep my system straight. You have to be a little OCD about it.

That also means you can grab and go when a chance to hunt pops up. Everything is packed and ready. All I have to do is grab 1 air tight bin, rubber boots, bow case and whatever climbing system I'm using. The system is always prepped.

x2 on this. Over the past few years I've really simplified the amount of crap that I carry in the woods. Basically I eliminated all the junk.

In my truck I have an airtight bin, my bow case, my HSS airtight bag and my deer sled. Clothing goes in the bag, pack, saddle and knee pads go in the bin (with my mobile pouch which has my strap on platform and hangers). My sticks stay in the sled. Boots live next to the bin and bow case. Every single hunt my routine is the same. The only difference is if my mobile system is coming with me or not. If it is, that part of the routine stays the same every time also.

I'm the same way. Got to have a system! I store all my gear compartmentalized inside of different bins and have one bin that is for that days hunt. Before the hunt I simply swap out the gear I want based on that days conditions.

Same routine when I get to my hunt location. Always change at the car. I even place all of my gear out the exact same pattern every time, and dress in virtually the same order each time.

Same when I get to my tree. Since virtually every one of my stands I pre-hung it's a simple matter of tying my bow to my hoist rope, ascending, and strapping in.

Everything is so routine now you notice immediately when you missed something.

By far though the best part about dialing in your system is that it allows you to focus on the one thing you should be focused on in the first place - the hunt!

I agree with all said above. Pack everything in the order you plan to Use it. I always go in order when packing. Whatever you use first goes on top and go down the list. Trust me you do not want to be looking for something in the dark wondering why you left it in the vehicle.

I ordered a 4 step and a 5 step today. May need to dye them and didn't know if I needed to do anything special or just follow the directions on the dye you suggested.
