Thread/needle for sewing Knaider/Swaider

Well, I ran out what I had of the original thread, then finished it with the 40lb spiderwire fishing line.

Not nearly as neat as I’d like, bet it holds me without budging.

I bet it will. Looks good. I did three rows like that on my kestrel leg straps and they haven't budged. I'm sure there's cheaper options to spyderwire, but I already had a spool of it and a little goes a long way.

@IkemanTX what machine are you running? If it's a home machine, go as big as it will take with both needle and thread. Since I have a Juki commercial walking foot now, I'm running a TEX 90 thread with a 20/120 needle.

With a home machine you might be able to get by with a TEX 70 and a size 18/100 needle. It all depends on your machine.
What model Juki walking foot machine do you have? I’m considering buying a DNU 1541

@ckossuth ,
Amy reason not to use tera 40? I thought that was your go to thread.

Terra 40 will work fine. It was the biggest I could run in my DDL-8700 and still get good, tight, quality stitches. It does great.

The walking foot just gave me an opportunity to up my own personal game and start playing around with bigger stuff.

I did have some issues with the lock stitch burying properly. I think the original needle on the speedy stitcher was just too large, and the webbing weaving too loose, for the tread to bury properly.
