X 2Sawyers permethrin spray. Works on ticks and chiggers. I spray my hunt pants and boots and let them air dry.
X3. Truck seats too.X 2
I even use it mixed a little strong and spray it around outside of house below siding.
I get mine at Tractor Supply...they have 10% and 13% brands.Permethrin is the key. But sawyers is expensive. Buy it concentrated and mix in a spray bottle. It’s way cheaper and will last multiple seasons. You can make 50 bottles for the price of one or two Sawyer bottles!
Yeah, I hate Deet too but I use it in conjunction with Permethrin to ward off not only ticks but also mosquitos and chiggers. Deet is nasty but I don't want to put permethrin on my skin.Stay tuned to the end of this one! I hate DEET and have another reason to stick with permethrin and not use it.
Wait until the seed ticks get bad in late July/August. Permethrin treat your clothes, apply Deet heavily(I'll take cancer later over tick fever now). Sawyers is the easy solution, Tractor Supply or whatever local farm store you have should have a more concentrated brand you can dilute down and get a lot more bang for your buck. Some of the concentrated brands of Permethrin have an oily smell to them that lingers for quite a while. We move here to Missouri from Kansas ain't never had ticks like this. What does everyone use?

If you're going to dilute your own, which is a lot cheaper, look for a concentrate without petroleum distillates.
