I am trying to switch from one sticking to regular sticks. Looking into lightweight sticks and i think i will settle on the timber ninja. Only issue is tree clearance.
does anyone have any experience swapping the stock stand offs for the EWO standoffs which will increase tree clearance. Will it work? Will the sticks still stack ok?

The TN carbon tubes are larger than standard 1” aluminum square tubing. I don’t remember the exact measure but it’s 1.137” or something odd like that to fit over an internal chunk of aluminum tubing. If you’re thinking the aluminum TN’s then it could be done without modding the EWO standoff.

I wear a size 13 boot no problems. They are maybe a 1/4 less standoff than my Hawk Heliums. You’re climbing a tree not painting a house. My $0.02
Also, they nest nicely with factory standoffs.

Have you personally tried them yet? I was worried about the standoffs for months until I finally said screw it and bought a set. Turns out it wasn't an issue at all and I love them so far.

better or worse than beast sticks?

Think they have a little less room than the beast sticks but there's a very noticeable difference in the weight department. Timber ninjas are very quiet stock, haven't had to stealth strip anything yet

My understanding is the standoff is tapped for the bolt so it’s not something you can just swap out with another off the shelf component.

Like others I was worried about the standoff until I got mine and started using them. Took me about two climbs to adjust to how I placed my feet on them. I had to turn my feet outward more so instead of using my toes I'm not sort of on the balls of my feet which are now spread apart instead of being perpendicular to the tree. I'm not sure I explained that well, but ultimately the standoff depth is really a non issue even with large heavyweight boots. I absolutely love my sticks. Quiet, super light, not cold to the touch, and have had zero stability issues with them. I will say dollar for dollar one of the best purchases I've made, coming from 12 pounds of XOP sticks the C1 sticks are well worth the money.
