Ever had someone on saddlehunter.com help you out, share some great advice, encourage you, go out of their way for you, or just be a friend? Well, it's time to raise a glass to them!

I'm raising the first glass to @Bwhana (John), because he's the one that made me think of this thread in the first place. He's the one that got me into this saddle obsession, and HELPED ME SPEND ALL MY MONEY! (lol) We spent this whole morning on trees in his back yard trying out climbing methods, platforms, and all kinds of other fun saddle stuff! I can't begin to tell you how much I benefit from his hours upon hours of research and trying things out. I'm a better hunter (and especially saddle hunter) because of him! We've been friends and hunted together a long time. Great friends, and great memories! Thanks @Bwhana!!

Who will you raise a glass to?

Without doubt, a glass must be raised to @redsquirrel for bringing us all together. He also provided me some valuable input on mistakes I may have made early on that might have had bad consequences. Thanks Scott!

That said, I have to personally raise my glass to @Cain. I've taken his method with the Wild Edge steps to heart and still use it today. Also, without his video on his one sticking method I wouldn't have revisited it. It is now my primary climbing method. Thanks Chris!

Cheers to all!

A glass goes up to @Nutterbuster. Already mentioned in one post, and for good reason. You can tell he loves the outdoors, including saddle hunting of course. But he's always willing to share his knowledge and experience. Genuine guy, AND REALLY FUNNY! Watch his videos if you haven't seen them yet. He was really nice to give me some time to discuss his carbon bolt method, which I will put to use this fall.

Also, can't help but think of him when I hear the Eric Church song, "Some of It," especially during the chorus. I think the chorus would be his message about saddle hunting, lol. Cheers to you @Nutterbuster!

Agree with the @redsquirrel, Now I have something to read while my wife is watching Hallmark Chick flicks. Additionally to @Nutterbuster I enjoy his ability to write and inspire.

Cheers

Exactly!

I was stripping some turkey wings for feathers a few days ago when I hear Jingle Bells. I asked the wife “wth???” And she quickly informed me it was “Christmas in July”. Harrumph. So I went about my business.

When I had enough feathers stripped to do a half dozen arrows I broke out the shark cutter and went to work. As soon as I started she asked me “wth???” And I quickly informed her it was deer season in July

I have to raise a toast to @WHW for generating the rule that doesn’t allow ‘overnight parking’ at the refuges around here. And for the phrase, ‘don’t hunt sign until it’s so fresh and there’s so much of it, you just can’t pass it up.’

I’ve taken that last one to heart, and have ended up in deer more times than not.

I raise my glass to all those on this site who take the time to add content in the form of how to's, who come to the aid of those asking questions no matter what. To those who redirect questions to threads where answers can be found. To those who create gear for themselves that is helpful, and then offer to make it for the entire membership. To those who make the shirts and hats so we can identify ourselves as belonging to this brother/sisterhood of saddlehunters. I raise my glass to the forum and and membership that make the forum. Everyones' support and passion has helped me to be a better hunter and made me feel like I am a part of a greater community. Great thread. Thanks. This is what Saddlehunter.com is.

My first glass goes to all the service men and women... without u all the things we get to enjoy and often take for granted would not be possible. Secondly to g2outdoors and nutterbuster since I accidentally ran across u both on YouTube and have created chaos with my hunting and financial life ever since. Lol
