Just a Couple Ideas That Everyone Else Probably Already Uses. I've Tried to Like Knee Pads and Cannot. I Glued Up This Extra Thick Pad and Added Small Sharpened Bungees. They Bite Into the Bark Well. Instead of Putting Them Right on My Tired Old Knees, I Put Them Slightly Lower Than My Knee Cap. This Lets My Knee Caps Rest Just Above the Pad. Perfect.
Another Issue I've Had is Securing My Muddy Pros for Transport Quietly. I Know Most of You Use Much Higher Quaility and Pricier Sticks Than I But The Stacking Studs on These Are Totally Inadequite. Those Green Straps Are Awesome. Instead of Stacking Like They Are Designed, I Just Stick Them Together, Side to Side or Back To Back, Sorta in a Round Bundle. Those Straps Hold So Well There is No Rattle From Them. Makes a Smaller Bundle Too. Just Some Useless Tips From an Old Guy!

I wonder if I would need to sharpen the hooks because I prefer smooth trees.

Modified the CGM footloop. I added a pad to it. I use this as a thigh loop then hang it off my paracord gear strap ( boynehunter design) for my knees. CGM can custom make these probably........

Do you hunt with a pack? I went as far as sewing a ratchet strap onto a stadium seat. I was considering how I was going to pack it in and then thought "cut the middle man."

I padded the front pocket of my pack that I'm bringing in anyways. Then I use a linesman that I'm bringing in anyways to attach my backpack straight in front of me on the tree.

This has had fantastic benefits all around.

Thank you! I'm ordering a set of the Titans now. They look like a similar material to the strap that came with my sticks, but I need two of them when I split my sticks to put on the sides of my pack.

#1 tip is to accept the reality and your capabilities.

Developing arthritis in my hands and elbows means I have to accept that I cannot climb the way I want to. Similarly, I have to keep things as light as possible to protect my knees, hips and lungs but do so within my financial means. Due to this, I've gone strictly Bullman steps and ROS. At 5#, I can get 18' and hunt.

OTOH, I've also decided to start filming my hunts so I'm not very good at listening to myself and what I wrote above...

I use the same sticks and use gear ties. Which are basically just big twisty ties. They work pretty well! I like your idea though I may haveta try the knee cushion

I've used those nite eyes ties also but these Titans really pull tight. I like not having to stack my sticks now.
