Today's Blessings

I'm blessed to have a Creator that loves me so much and wanted to spend time with me that he wouldn't allow my rebellion to disconnect us forever. I'm blessed that he decided to intervene on my behalf and pay for all the ways in which I miss the mark. I'm blessed to have eyes that see and ears that hear. I'm blessed to have a wife that gives 100% each day. I'm blessed to have 6 adorable children and one more on the way. And I'm blessed to have this awesome group of like-minded people to share ideas with.
 
So I sure some people on this forum know I served but none know I'm disabled. As I get older things get worse. The Lord saw fit to bless me with 100% disability which was a blessing in and of itself but I just learned I’m permanent and total which means that rating will never be taken away. More importantly it means that I’ll be able to afford to send my children to college because the Commonwealth of Virginia picks up the tab for tuition and books. Me being a state employee the wife and I have been trying to figure out how to help the kids pay for college on a state salary. Now we can afford to send them. This is a humongous blessing one I certainly didn’t expect nor deserve. We both come from broken homes and were raised by people who in some cases didn’t even graduate high school. I we’re trying our best to break that cycle and raise God fearing, contributing functional adults and this is huge building block. Thank you Lord.

We are blessed to have people like you who sacrifice everything so we can hunt, fish and be free thank you and all the others for everything yall have given to allow this we are truly not worthy!! Yall are awesome human beings THANK YOU!!!!! Good to hear good things happening to good people!!!

Dear Sir, you most certainly do deserve it. I'm glad you served, I'm sorry your disabled. Brother! The lord will watch over you, and it's the least your country should do for you.
 
Today I have been blessed with modern day technology. It’s amazing how easy it is to find anything you want to know.

Because of modern day technology, I was able to look up the pastor from my childhood church. A man that mentored me and pointed me in the right direction when life was throwing me some real curve balls. I looked him up and was able to listen to his sermons that he is currently preaching. I don’t attend his church because it is far away, but it is nice to get a good message from a familiar voice.
 
As already stated many times, this thread is such a blessing to me. This world is so screwed up, sometimes you think you are alone in the wilderness.

Kinda brought tears to my eyes to see men with such great faith counting their blessings and being good family men. YOU ALL are a blessing to me.

John 16:33- “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Thanks for all the prayers she is in recovery and the Dr was able to access the tumor from her right side and there is no evidence of adjoining tissues being affected. Tumor needs to be analyzed to seeif radiation is warranted. Praise God!
