Tree Stand Packs

That is my biggest complaint with a lot of the hunting packs. Elbrecht’s Elk has a great Molle system. But for me me it was too big for Tree Stand Pack. Badlands would have my business on their Tree Stand Pack if it had a Molle system.
Kifaru does molle well

To anyone who has used the horn hunter main beam:
What do you not like about it?

Not much not to like. I wish it had a little more molle. And like most, wish the camo was a bit better but both are minor. I've been kicking around other pack ideas but I keep going back to my mainbeam.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on one

I use a few different packs. This past season I used a small day pack from the Allen Company. I likely use it again this year. Was perfect size for some extra layers and minimal gear but not bulky enough to get in the way. I've got 2 of their packs and they are great quality. Cost alot less too.

Does anyone know of a good M.O.L.L.E. attachment system to say strapping sticks to the back of the pack. Most M.O.L.L.E. is cut with vertical attachments but im looking to go horizontal with the straps.

Curious also about the answer to MCDM's question on attaching sticks to a pack with Molle panels, similar to the Direct Action or 5.11 Rush packs.

I could use the side compression straps but i prefer to attach directly to the back of the pack. Idk ive seen some clips by 5.11 that go horizontal but i was just looking for additional options.

What pack are you using, MCDM?

Im waiting on a main beam to get here its been 3 weeks since it shipped which by the way i ordered from the manufacturer. The ship the slowest method which is by truck. Get it off amazon if you my recommendation after my experience.

But im waiting for a Direct Action Ghost to come back in stock which i will most likely buy if I don’t like the main beam. Last season i used a tenzing 2220 and a 3000 both are good packs but im looking to be as much as a minimalist as possible. Im looking for M.O.L.L.E. attachment suggestions for horizontal straps vs the standard vertical!!

With camera gear it just adds to the bulk, plus sticks andnow i added the predator platform to my game vs the ring of steps so im just trying new stuff i just can’t seem to find a pack that i feel meets my needs specifically!!

I bought the ghost purposely. It is back in stock or was in low quantities in the woodland camo

I’ve used a few different packs. It all depends on what you want to carry and how you want to carry it. I use climbing sticks with aiders. I’ve come to realize that for me less is more.

I’ve used

A cheap fieldline pack. Nothing fancy. Didn’t carry sticks well. It is “floppy”.

Eberlestock X2. Too big and heavy for me. I liked the wings and the ability to strap about anything to it. The main pocket was hard to access and things would get lost at the bottom. Big solid frame but I wasn’t going to pack out an animal so I sold it.

Vanguard pioneer 1600. Nice pack. Can carry a bow or a rifle. Carries sticks well with the bat wings. Has a insulated “cooler” pocket. Plenty of storage options. Removable hip belt pouches great for a rangefinder or small pair of binos. I got it for $80 - $90 directly from vanguards warehouse through eBay I believe.

Cabela’s scout elite. This is my go to pack. Carries only what I need. Carries sticks very well and tight to your back. Light weight. I bought the vanguard thinking I would need it to carry layers during late season but I ended up just lashing them to this pack. Low profile on your back and in the tree. I’ve tried to find the perfect pack and for me so far this is it.

Can you post a pic of your sticks attached to your Cabela's pack?

I agree with you on the Cabela's Scout Elite hunting pack. Of all the packs I previously mentioned, this is my go to pack. It's carries what I need most of the time and has a low profile as well. I use an aider and carry three original 32" Lone Wolf sticks or three modified 24" double step Lone Wolf sticks. What kind of sticks do you pack on your Scout Elite?

Can you post a pic of your sticks attached to your cabelas pack?

A couple years ago I saw a gal carrying one of these at a 3D shoot. When I hunt I am hunting so small game is on the menu. I like to carry a few blunts for tree rats and have been carrying heads on a bow quiver and small game in a Safari Tuff. With this I can carry the small game arrows in the pack. I got the pack a couple weeks ago and it will need a couple mods to accommodate me but it should work fine.

That looks to be pretty well thought out.

I also, bring a blunt or two along for the tree rats. LOL. My wife calls them rats with tails. L:tearsofjoy: She refuses to eat them. So I only take a few a year for myself.
