Tree strap- Rope or Webbing

That's the idea. Do you think that would compromise the integrity of the strap? I'm also thinking I may be over complicating this. I may switch to a tree strap from a fall arrest system or a cam/ over centre strap to anchor to the tree, th

Just loop the adjustable tree strap around it before starting the climb.

Typically 6-7 feet after knots.

I developed a mild loathing for webbing tree tethers way back before my entrance into the saddle world. Always seemed to get hung up, twisted, slipped too easily, etc. I would always use rope tether and rope linemans. The only thing I'm using webbing for right now is my aiders on my sticks and my back strap.

Those of you clipping a backup fig 8 into the 'biner....it doesn't hinder or impede bridge slide through the biner at all?

I use rope...when not being used, I daisy chain it, run the last loop thru carabiner, and hook it to belt...I also use ropeman on lineman belt, tree strap and one on my preset, climb rope (backup to tree tether).

I'm new to the saddle hunting game, but have been run and gun hunting with a lone wolf for a while. I added a second prusik knot to my HSS rope tree tether. I made this prusik with 3 loops so it doesn't slide as easily. I single wrap my tree tether and slide the new prusik up to the top so it acts like a stopper and the tether wont slide down past the knot.

I clip into the bottom prusik.

Anybody see any issues with this (again, I'm a newbie)?
