I just discovered saddle hunting about a month ago and was so excited about it I almost ordered a kit the first night. Luckily I had so many questions I started doing more research and found the site and WOW. I am glad I waited to buy anything as I have learned a ton!. One question that I have (sorry if it has been asked, but I couldn't seem to find any info on it) is, is there a reason that all the tree tethers I have seen seem to have the loop stitched or woven in versus made with a knot like some of the lineman's ropes? I get that the knot makes it bulky, but is it a safety issue to have a line with a knot on the tree tether? Thanks in advance. Also, if this has been discussed can you point me to the thread?
