Triple Step Aider?

Depending on how you attach your aider to your stick, if you are comfortable using it above the first stick you could always set your second stick in a tree that corresponds with only 2 steps on your three step aider.

Just because it has 3 steps doesnt mandate that you use them all. This could be useful on a tree with a branch in the way so to speak. Of course if the tree is straight without branches gaining the extra 18" or 36" on top of your top stick is pretty much negligible.

I make my aiders with 14 inch steps and slide a piece of 3/8 fiberglass electric fence post in each step (1 inch tubular webbing). I find the short step much more comfortable and can use a 4 step on bottom, then a 3 step next and single step except for the last one.

I ended up cutting the lone wolf sticks down to where the steps are 16” apart. I then bought a double step from doublesteps and attached to the bottom. I then made a three step aider. Tried it out felt confident using it so i made another. With the two I can get 16’ to my feet at top step. And then i can step up to my platform at 18’.
