Trophyline Platow

Just got mine out of the box. What if anything are you guys doing to prevent or quiet the plastic buckle to metal contact? That’s the second thing on my con list so far. First thing would be the irregular pals webbing. Can’t get my kydex j hooks or anything using the tri glides.

Pros is the camo. Material is nice as are the shoulder padding. Bag itself is nice and easy to access. Jingly Zipper pulls gotta go though.

Going to load it and mess with it a little more before giving a thumbs up or down.

Are you pulling the included covers over the buckles? They’re kind of a pain, but seem to eliminate the noise for me.

Now I am. Thanks. I just spaced and thought they were to cushion the load or something. There’s a lot going on with this pack at first glance.

Yeah. I liked it a lot initially, but the more I use it the more unsure I’m getting.

I set mine up today and as everyone has stated it carries well and has a lot of adjustments. I thought the molle loops were too small and had to really work to use them. As others have stated i moved all my pouches off my saddle and up to the waist belt. Here are some pics of my wife wearing it
I see you in the classifieds and you crack me up because you have so much cool stuff! Missed the .5 . Anyways how hard is the paracord on the edge of your edp? It worth doing? Also why do you do it? I’m curious, thanks!

I love having the paracord, not just for the silencing but it helps me feel my edge on stands

Im just the opposite with this pack at first i was on the fence but the more i use it and figure things out the better i like it. I can actually remove sticks from the bottom and stand of my back without removing pack. This pack carries great loaded up for being a fanny pack.

Someone mentioned the molle webbing on the waistbelt and i agree that was not well thought out. Nothing fits down it. I took and ground a small amount off my triglides

I like the configuration, but my biggest issue is that I’m getting too much weight on my shoulders.

Can you shorten up the rear strap adjustment to get it up on your hips more?
I need to play around with it a bit. I have a small waist and the waist belt just barely fits with it tightened all the way. I’ll see if adjusting the rear straps help. Thanks for mentioning that!

Put about 5.5- 6 miles and 6 hrs, and 1 climb with it yesterday. I like it alot. Did have a 12L back pack that was cheap. Never going back. Still more pockets and space than I think I need.
The straps for the sticks on the bottom, seems like it might tear the fabic it is sewed to if I'm too rough with it.
Has alot of extra strap length for a 6'1" 250lbs guy. I do have a bubble butt, after the climb I put the sticks in with the tree side at my butt. Had to stop and flip them over. Kept poking me.

Did 1.5-1.75 miles of thick briar bushs and tree line. Never got caught on the sides. But I had to duck lower to cleat under things, the edp got caught a couple times.

I’ve had the pack for a few weeks now and also have a Badlands Monster pack. When i wear the Badlands pack and put 4 Beast Sticks or Novix on the bottom it’s comfortable. On the Platow the sticks dig into my back. All they needed to do was add a little section of material that would cover the thickness 1-2 inches of a stick at the bottom and it would be great. The pack carries different on your shoulders/back. For me the Badlands is more comfortable which is unfortunate because i want the Platow to work. Also I have a Wingman platform which i hook up also from the back top straps. Not sold on how to position that so it’s quiet on the Platow while walking in.

Anyone using a hydration bladder in these? I’m curious what size/brand/etc.

I have the exact setup but not the same issues. I strap 4 beast minis to the bottom of the platow and no contact with my body. I hang my wingman from top loops and it makes no noise. The best part is everything can be taken off without removing the pack. Sorry its not working for you. Its a nice pack for the money

Came home after work to my pack delivered on my porch. Choose to try this pack after running the horn hunter main beam for my first 3 hunts this year as a new saddle hunter. Running 4 hawk mini’s and a predator XL platform. Horn hunter pack makes a terrible squeak noise no matter how I attach my equip. On my hunt tonight my horn hunter pack caused me to get busted by a buck on the ground while at full draw due to that squeak lol go figure. I had no time to ditch the pack sadly. But once I got back to the house I moved all my gear on the platow and it is way better. Silent, distributes weight well also. I can set up without removing the pack at base of tree, or while climbing. Will try it out in the woods Saturday morning

Looking forward to your feedback I’m packing the same setup beside I’ve got a EDP platform. I’m wanting to try this pack

Got to take out the platow on a hunt this morning. It worked great. I carried my 4 hawk helium’s, predator XL, a cheap hot seat for my knees, water & food, kill kit, as well as an extra layer. About a mile hike in from the truck through low grow swamp brush and thickets. Sticks can catch on things if you aren’t conscious of them being sideways on your pack. I did have to drop my pack at the base of the tree to remove my sticks, which isn’t a big deal for me. Throw the pack back on and climb up to hunting height, and reach back unbuckle the platform and hang n hunt. Pretty happy with it for my setup

I also have a question on the hydration bladder. Will a traditional hydration bladder that is more vertical in length not work with this pack? The one I have currently doesn't seem like it would fit and the hose might not be long enough.
