Trophyline Platow

Finally!

Hoping this turns the Mission/Minis into an efficient system.

Snagged one myself to add to my three totes full of packs. I have come to the conclusion that for me, there is no perfect one pack. But, having lots of choices for different hunting situations is key. I am looking forward to see how well it carries the mini/mission combo.

I also have a tote full of packs but ordered one of these for my EDP and mini beast ...or my ambush and full size beast sticks...we'll see if it works out

I didnt think much of the cays pack and put it up for sale then i sat down and took some time with it using my ambush and full size beast and it worked so well i kept it so im hoping the same o. The platow

How come?

As I looked at the photos, I picture the sticks and platform clanking together… unless of course you hang the sticks from the bottom. The problem I see then, is the sticks smacking off your bottom/thighs. If you’re a taller person, maybe it won’t be an issue. This is just my theory though! I’m sure we’ll know soon enough.

This is exactly why I was asking about full size sticks and different platforms or if it’s only designed for the minis and TL platform.

I’ve had the pack about a week or two. At first I wasn’t sure, seemed like a lot going on. But after messing around with it for a while and getting it dialed in, I really like it. Tons of storage and carries nicely. That said, I don’t carry sticks, I just no stick climb with the EDP. So I can’t speak to how it does with sticks

i recently picked up a popup 38 (went in somewhat of a differnt direction than minimalist/lightweight lol) so i'm also going to be waiting on reviews before purchasing this, i still think it's likely the right call for early season but i sweat just getting out of the car so i'm just planning to pack a change of clothes in.

How’s you get one a week ago??

Any tips/tricks on getting it dialed in?

I know one of the guys over there, he let me get my hands on one and try it out.

Here are some pics how I have it set up for first hunt of the year tomorrow morning. I actually put the bottom half of the EDP in the big section. It’s not how they designed it to work but I love how it carries this way.

There are a lot of adjustment straps, one of the most critical ones is actually the strap that attaches to the back of bag. This is so key because it prevents the bag from sagging. That is a important strap for carry comfort, I’ve used the alps pathfinder that didn’t have that strap and the sag irritated me. It made it feel heavy.

I also like how there are a number of straps to attach a jacket, a single stick, or a few sticks. Lots of versatility with this pack.

When you get it, just mess with the strap lengths in the back til it feels comfortable. You’ll get it dialed.

I also strapped on an extra dump pouch for some easy access stuff while climbing.
