Truck Camper Help

That’s what I do in the ol 4 runner minus the cot/pad. I get dressed while I’m still horizontal and my first step outside is into my boots.
Cot and pad combo is the bomb. I have a queen size memory foam mattress at home and being able to sleep on the same mattress "in the field" makes getting shut-eye way easier. Heck with hammocks and ground pads.

I've literally spent the night at a COE campground sleeping on a concrete pic nic table before, and have spent too many nights just leaning the drivers seat back. Ya do what ya must, but only if ya have to!

Some good info here. I’m planning on getting a camper top for my truck and fixing it up to stay in for a 2 or 3 day hunt next season.

I've had manufactured truck campers, slept in the back of a '93 Ford Explorer, '91 Suburban, and '05 Excursion.
Now I have a toy hauler and a 5'x8' enclosed trailer.

I've used the heater buddy hundreds and hundreds of nights with only a cracked window or door.
I cook with propane and any power I've ever needed for truck and trailer camping has been 12volt and the truck and/or a small generator work just fine for that.
Can't say enough good things about this one:
Sportsman 1000watt Inverter Generator
After recommending it to my hunting buddies I ran across a YouTube review showing how it powered a small air conditioner!

Here's an unboxing of one that includes the addition of an hour meter:

Here's the Trailer setup. I like it second best to the toy hauler.
I use a foam pipe insulator on the door to keep it ajar. A bungee cord keeps the door tight against the pipe insulation.
The heater buddy makes it just right on the coldest of nights. On the lowest setting!!

I'm going on a Dirt Bike Trip next month and will be using these Disposable Rinse-Free Bathing Sponge Wipes instead of the community showers.

You can get a mattress from Canvas Cutter. They get them from the same factory as Purple.
