I made another 2 panel sling (I replicated an Anderson years ago but didn't like it - because I never lowered my tether, it was always connected over my head).
This sling is very comfortable with a neck-high tether; I hunted out of it today.
Here is the deal:
I am a pouch guy. I love having my tether, lineman belt, hoist rope, bow hook, gear strap, and other items in pouches on my saddle, but 'everyone' mentions the fact that pouches on a 2 panel sling will cause significant sag while walking/climbing.
My goal is to whip together a separate belt to function as a linemans belt and pouch carrier. I plan to wear my sling with this belt overtop of it while walking to my tree and during the climb. After I get established in the tree I could take the belt off and hang it on my hook or put it in my pack.
Anyone already do this? If so, where are the gremlins located so I don't have to make 'mistakes' that have already been made by others?
