USPS SUCKS!

DanO is the ManO!...Nobody ships faster...now we know why...lol

The delays have just been getting worse and worse monthly as well. I have a renter that has his rent autopayment via his bank so it's sent on the same day every month. I used to receive it before the first of the month but again, it's getting slower and slower. This past month I received the check on the 8th. That same month I received notification that the mortgage on that house was late. Guess what? My bank mails a check to the mortgage company just like the renter mails his check to me but it has become SO SLOW getting there that what used to get there on time, no longer is getting there on time.

They are terrible. Had something last week that showed up a week late. It came from PA, I'm in NC. That usually takes two days. Tracking showed it arriving in Charlotte, going back to PA, arriving in Charlotte, going back to PA a second time, then arriving in Charlotte and it was delivered. Had a Christmas present that sat in Charlotte (according to tracking) for two weeks. Luckily, it came a few days before Christmas. Ordered something from Amazon last May. Tracking just said it would be late and gave no details. After three weeks, we cancelled the order and got our money back. It showed up in August. I have more stories, but you get the point. I avoid them as best I can when shopping on line. Even paying extra for UPS if I have the option.

I’ve never had an issue with USPS and I simply can NOT picture the private sector doing it cheaper.

I traded an aluminum component for a carbon fiber component with a member here. We both shipped the same day, my heavier component via USPS, his lighter component via UPS. USPS delivered sooner and cheaper.
You didn’t pay billions of dollars in taxes for your UPS delivery either..

Had an Amazon package that I ordered on the 13th and was supposed to arrive on the 17th.
Tracking showed it arrived in my city on the 16th. When it didn’t get delivered the next day I checked tracking and it said it had been received at distribution center 300 miles away.
A week later Amazon gave me a refund and said that it couldn’t be delivered. Showed up at my door 2 days later. That was yesterday.

If I paid billions in taxes I wouldn’t be worried about a dang thing, especially not whether my Christmas cards showed up on time,

I ordered a zojarushi for the wife before Christmas. 2 weeks ago I got a notice it was probably lost and asked if I wanted a refund or if I wanted to reorder. I reordered Tuesday and the replacement showed up today.

that’s awesome!

Heck, the USPS did you a favor anyway cuz BP sucks.

I’ve had issues with usps this winter also. Multiple delays that put me and buyers in tough situations. Tracking was not much help. Fortunately all items were delivered eventually.

Christmas.....pandemic......folks staying home.....still gonna buy gifts.......gotta buy them online......online gifts have to be mailed to the purchaser.......online gifts have to then be mailed to the recipient.....add in an increased volume of Christmas cards.......

Blaming USPS for delayed deliveries at Christmas is like blaming DOT for delays in traffic during a hurricane evacuation.

And no, I do not work for USPS.
