Versa Aider?

Im a bigger guy. 270# in my birthday suit. I have a diy versa aider I hooked over the top part of my cut down LW's. I tried some wire rope aiders on my new Beast sticks and dont like them. Beast sticks dont have enough meterial sticking up to hook onto like I did my old LWs and I want to go back to my Versa Aider. Anybody have any issue with the versa button bolt bending?

I made a diy version and climbing with it is easier than it looks. What I don’t like is how 100% of your weight is placed on the bolt for the button using this method. Normally, the forces are distributed between the standoffs and the bolt. I know for a fact the the hawk helium bolts aren’t grade 8. I’ve bent and broken a few doing other things.....

That's my concern. I know the Versa button bolt on Beast sticks is grade 8 but still seems like alot of weight for a 1/4 bolt. But then again LWs steps are only held in by a 1/4 bolt and get all your weight at ine time.

I’ve found that if you don’t use aiders your climb is just so much easier every time. You’re quieter and will pick trees with more cover because you’re worried about height

Does anyone know if the same versa aider will work for lwcg full length and mini sticks or will two different one’s be neccessary?

Their new aider is now adjustable.

I’m not sure if it’s on the website yet

Great customer service, they sent me one that was too short. They immediately sent me a replacement and return shipping for the first one. Upgraded to the adjustable aider.

I’ve used it a couple times and really like it. I don’t want to fish around for a aider in the dark.

I enjoy my versa aider and i have had no problem with it or the bolt on my beast sticks. I tried the cable aider and dont have a problem with it on the first stick but prefer the versa aider more. 6'1 220ish
