Vintage recurve on the way! Edit: cracked, new thread made/close this one please

My USPS woes continue, bow arrived, but has a small crack in the tip and looks like the postal service beat it up. Doesn't appear to go all the way through but worried this bow is toast? I contacted the seller to see if he insured it/not really sure how to proceed.

If I was a bit more confident with these types of bows I might just super glue it and send it, the woodworker in me says that would be fine but I dunno how the limb tips are stressed(or not?) In this area. At least I have a template for when I want to laminate my own bow now now I suppose...

As I recall priority mail automatically comes with a certain amount of insurance, or at least is has in the past.

while glue is strong, I don’t think it has the sheer strength required by a limb tip, nor the flexibility inherent in a bow. At full draw those limb tips are bearing all kinds of stresses.

It's 100 automatically which almost fully covers what I paid for this bow, so we shall see how it works out. I started a different thread to talk about the crack so I think I'm going to close this one as I nomlonger have a vintage recurve on the way...
