Virginia group chat/possible meet up?

I couldn’t find any used ones around here so I just bought them new from Harbor Freight. Got 8 packs (4 mats in each). If you’re interested in giving the Chinese all your info I read that you can get them off Temu for cheap cheap.

What are the overall dimentions of your target (and frame)? Looks pretty big. Would love to do one of those under a little roof or shelter of some kind. Nice work!

Thanks for the information. No, I don't trust Temu and I'm not a big fan of Amazon. Guess I have a new mid-summer project.

Unfortunately I won’t be, have soccer tournaments that weekend.

Seen this on you tube. For the top counties to hunt in, the 3 in SW Va are mostly private property, and agriculture areas. There are some public properties in these counties but you have to be younger than I to hunt - except for the White Oak Mountain WMA. I'm not sure about the ones in the eastern part of the state.

You can get the top counties in the state to hunt by downloading the kill stats from 2023-2024 season, throwing in a spread sheet and sort based on total.

Is that right? One can assume those 3 counties are "the best hunting" because that's where the most deer were harvested? Sounds to me like those 3 counties just have the most hunters. Maybe I'm wrong. Now if they said, these three counties had the most bucks killed scoring over 130" or something like that then I would find it much more accurate.

PSA: With the effects of Helene, and today the first day without rain in SW Va., I'd be very cautious in the trees this opening weekend.

I was at a property on Monday and watched a group of seemingly healthy big oaks topple over from the root. I have some in season scouting to do so I shouldn't be in a tree for at least a week, but when I do it will be one with a bail out plan.
